Why everyone is traveling to the Spanish islands

Still don't have plans? Are you waiting for the last minute to decide where are you going to make your escape? I make you a proposal, stay in national territory but not on the peninsula: go to the Spanish islands.

And which of them? Because there are a few and very different. Well there already, according to what you want. The good thing is that there variety of landscapes, climates, activities and gastronomy. So you have to choose.

However, I am going to lend you a hand by telling you What do I like the most about each archipelago? (Of everything there is, which is a lot!). are you coming with me?

Atlantic or Mediterranean? Surround yourself with water traveling to the Spanish islands

The biggest advantage of traveling to the islands this year is that, fortunately, we have no travel restrictions throughout the national territory.

So take a flight to spend a few days in the Canary or Balearic Islands it is a great option to get out of your environment and still be "at home".

Both destinations are so versatile that you will be able to do many things, apart from show off that new bikini you bought (with a single strap, of course, you know that this summer you have to bet on the asymmetrical look).

Canary Islands, if you are looking for contrasts

When I reserve a few days thinking about going to the Canary Islands, it is because I need a little variety.

It is true that my good portion of the beach is never lacking. Because I love it and why I need it to disconnect. And all of those in any of the 7 Canary Islands (8, including La Graciosa) serve to escape in a spectacular environment.

If you want some advice: choose the Canary Islands when the peninsular thermometers are very high.

there, though good weather is pretty much guaranteed (it also depends a bit on the area) temperatures are usually more smooth and stable. Enough warm to be very comfortable, but not so much that the heat becomes oppressive.

But the big question is: which island are you going to visit?

The truth is that they all have different personalities, so It depends on what your body asks of you.

Tenerife is, perhaps, the most visited. That's right. is the perfect mix between beach and mountain, tropical forests and charming villages. The excursion to Teide, if you have not done it yet, you have it pending.

to go out at night and find a good environment without a doubt the best is Gran Canaria.

You have to go to Lanzarote with the idea of doing many excursions to be amazed by the volcanic landscapes, although it is very touristy and so small that you can find many people doing the same as you.

What do you want tranquility and little hustle and bustle? La Palma is your island. Landscape and rest, without complications. like the iron, very small and full of charm, ideal if you take your walking shoes to take some good walks. Or La Gomera, easy to see in two or three days of escape.

I've already told you other times that I love it sometimes make slightly different plans: do you know you can exchange your house and live other experiences? It may be an option for your trip to the islands.

Balearic elegance

What I like most about visiting the Balearic Islands is that I already know what goes in the suitcase, yes or yes, some of my Ibizan dresses. Although it is a classic style that you can always carry with you, if there is a perfect occasion to show it off, is that.

I especially like the traditional embroidery and crochet dresses. But those with a colored dot are also a dream, especially if you wear them with the right accessories.

Majorca is a must see. But not only because Palma is the capital, it is also a beautiful city that you have to know. In addition to the beaches, you should also reserve a day to visit the Caves of Drach, They will leave you with your mouth open.

If you want to know some of those spectacular coves that have given it international fame to the islands, go to Menorca; or to Ibiza, which between party and party, also boasts of having some of the best beaches in Europe.

One thing that cannot be missing on my trips to the Balearic Islands is a visit to a flea market. If you want to get unique pieces with that unmistakable hippie style, it's the right place.

There are several on the islands, but it is especially recommended the Las Dalias flea market, in Sant Carles, Ibiza. The busiest is on Saturdays, but you can try to escape the crowds by choosing another day or even going to the night market.

Clothing, jewelry, handmade footwear... Crafts of all kinds with that unmistakable air of the island. An enjoyment.

I know that I leave a thousand places without naming, because all the Spanish islands have a lot to see, incredible beaches, charming towns, spectacular landscapes, typical dishes that you cannot miss...

What I hope is to have gotten you the bug to an island getaway this summer, and that you enjoy a few days of rest without having to go to the other side of the world.

And you, do you like the Spanish islands as much as I do? You tell me some magical corner for my next visit?
