Gold rings with precious stones: a point of color in your hands

For me gold is always a trend, I will never get tired of my gold jewelry. I love wearing it on my bracelets, earrings, necklaces... and my gold rings, Which is what I want to talk about in today's post.

Although there are many models, and gold is always elegant in your hands, I would like to propose that you review what you have in your jewelery box and see if you are taking advantage of the possible combinations that give your gold rings a point of color.

To help you, I make some proposals.

5 ideas of gold rings with set stones

I personally love them simple gold rings If they have a good design, I think clean lines add elegance and simplicity.

Shall I give you an example? The Gold Plug, one of my favorites if we talk about minimalist jewelry, is a sample of what I want to tell you.

But what I want to tell you today goes the other way. I would like you to notice gold rings that have a touch of color, that is, set stones or precious minerals.

If they have been fascinating us for centuries, it will be for a reason, don't you think?

Take a look at these jewels and then tell me what you think.

1. Opal

The opal is a gemstone highly prized in jewelry. There are many types of opals, with such a wide variety of colors that you can almost say that each opal is unique because it is impossible to find two equal.

Think that there are red, green, black, yellow, violet... Also blue, like the five opals inserted in the gold ring Karis Gold.

2. Malachite

It is a very intense green mineral, generally with bands of different colors that are appreciated according to the cut of the mineral.

As a curiosity, it has a high composition of copper and in the past it was used crushed as pigment for artistic works, such as paintings and murals, or even as a cosmetic (it is said that the Egyptians used malachite powder to paint their eyes).

If that deep shade of green mesmerizes you as much as it does me, you can have it on a gold ring like Nidhi Malachite Gold, with three set stones, a larger central one and two lateral ones.

3. Cubic Zirconia

Also called zirconite or cubic zirconia. Is about a synthetic gem created from zirconium oxide. The result is a very durable stone, with a brilliance and properties that make it the cheapest competitor to the diamond.

The most common zirconia is colorless, but it can be found in other shades like these seven black zircons Valentina Black Gold; in pink, like the Valentine Pink Gold; or blue, like Valentine Blue Gold, three rings that you can wear together.

4. Sapphire

If you have a gold ring with sapphires, you have a treasure, because the sapphire is one of the most valued gemstones in jewelry.

It is true that it can be found in different colors, but the truth is that when we think of a sapphire it comes to mind a spectacular blue stone. That is the classic sapphire, a stone that traditionally used in engagement rings. like the one worn by Lady Di, for example, which was later worn by Kate Middleton.

Although you don't necessarily have to hear wedding bells to afford some sapphires like the ones in the Sapphire Blue Gold.

5. Lapis Lazuli

I continue with the intense and hypnotizing blues and I arrive at this gold ring with lapis lazuli, a semi-precious stone composed of various minerals: the Nidhi Lapis Gold.

What is fascinating? It was also one of the favorite stones of the Egyptians, who used it as an ornament in their figures. Therefore Lapis lazuli has been found in the tombs of the pharaohs, for example, and that was used to adorn funerary masks.

Later it had many more uses, especially as a pigment. If you like art, you will know that it had its peak in the Renaissance. The Medici were fascinated by the blue of lapis lazuli, and it was a color widely used by Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci

At the time it was a stone more expensive than gold!

All these rings have a 925 sterling silver base and 18 kt gold plated.

Plating gold is a technique that has been used for hundreds of years. It is about putting a thin sheet of gold covering the other metal.

Since pure gold has a very high price, it is a way to enjoy jewelry in a more affordable way and with a perfect finish.

And now, tell me, has what I have told you inspired you to put a touch of color on your hands?
